One of my favorite girlies, Kerry Washington, made it know that her sweet sense of style is a piece of cake while rocking this Sariah gâteau skirt at the "Evening with Neil LaBute and Friends" event on Monday in New York City.
The inverted pleated skirt is called a "gâteau" (which is the French word for cake) due to its tiered layers that resemble a wedding cake.
The skirt is fresh from the Spring 2009 collection of Sariah. Sairah is the brain child of Sariah Carson who is based out of NYC. All the prints in the collection, including the mustard and cream printed skirt Kerry wore, are hand painted and uniquely one of a kind - individually numbered with limited edition tags. Even the draping and pattern making is done personally by Sariah herself.
More pieces from this Spring 2009 Collection can be found at Barney's Co-op in Chevy Chase located at 5471-C Wisconsin Avenue Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
